NILES -- Elizabeth "Beth" Allen, 64, passed away Monday morning, Jan. 31, 2022, in the comfort of her home, following a long illness.
She was born on July 11, 1957, in Warren, the daughter of Herbert and Phyllis Morgan Sutton, and lived in this community the majority of her life. She was a 1976 graduate of Howland High School and worked in management and event planning at the Trumbull Country Club and also the Tippecanoe Country Club for over 30 years.
Beth had no specific house of worship, but she was spiritual, believing in karma and kindness above all else. She enjoyed music and had a diverse taste. She was an avid reader and could be captivated by darker fiction. She was a self-proclaimed foodie, enjoyed eating and being known by loved ones for a few spectacular dishes.
Beth is survived by her husband of 42 years, Derward L. Allen, whom she married on Aug. 31, 1980; son, Shane Allen and Chelsea Schnuerle of Pittsburgh; daughter, Kara Allen-Woods and Joseph Woods of Niles; two grandchildren, Taylor and Hayden; sister, Holly Ginkinger of Warren; and brother, Scott Sutton of Ashland, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, James "Jim" Sutton.
Per the family wishes, there are no services.
