FOWLER -- Edward R. Consla, 84, of Fowler, passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home with his loving family by his side at 12:41 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, under the comforting care of hospice.
He was born Wednesday, Aug. 5, 1936, in New Brighton, Pa., the son of the late Raymond J. and Ruby Grubham Consla.
Edward was a veteran of the United States Navy.
For many years, Ed was an insurance agent with Prudential Life Insurance Company. He also was a truck driver and retired from Toys 'R' Us.
Ed enjoyed collecting coins as well as photography. He was a computer guru, enjoyed gardening and fishing, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was a longtime and active member of Grace Church of the Nazarene in Mineral Ridge, where he was the sound technician.
Ed will forever be remembered by his loving wife of nearly 63 years, the former Rachael G. Monroe, whom he married on June 7, 1958; his three daughters, Cathy Consla of Annville, Pa., Kim (Michael) Williamson of Austintown and Patty (Michael) Currington of Fowler; a sister, Ruthann (Michael) Yahl of Naples, Fla.; by his five grandchildren, Aubrey (Brian) Atchinson, Amanda Williamson, Bradley (Amanda) Seelbach, Skyler Monroe and Rebecca Currington; and by four great-grandchildren, Eliana, Brennan, Declan and Rowan.
There will be no calling hours or funeral services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions take the form of donations, in Ed's name, to Southern Care Hospice.
