Ronald D. Cramer 1952-2021

CORTLAND — Ronald D. “Racer Ron” Cramer, 68, died at home while fishing with his good friend, Rick, on Friday, May 14, 2021.

He was born in Lewistown, Pa., the son of Robert and Jean Cramer.

He resided with Cindy Long and their dog, Marley. He was an amazing, hardworking, loving soul. He worked as a roofer and at Taylor Steel, then became a truck driver before retiring.

Ron loved the Cleveland Browns and Indians and NASCAR. He had that “need for speed.” He had a few motorcycles and race cars, but loved his cougar named “No Doubt” that he raced at Dragway 42. He loved the open road and spending time with his loved ones. His favorite pastime was to ride his motorcycle.

He leaves behind his children, Alicia and Nathan Cramer; granddaughters, McKenzie and Hanna; along with stepchildren, Marie (Jeremy), Melanie (Jason), Michelle (Robert), Milissa (Ronald), Kari (Mark), Pepper (Leslie), Rebecca (Brett) and Andrew (Andrea), Shawn (Carrie) and Danielle (Ben); and sisters, Bobbi, Cathy and Carol.

Ron will be missed by many grandkids, great-grandkids, nieces and nephews and family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 29, 2021, at Perkins Park pavilion, behind the amphitheater.
