LEAVITTSBURG -- Peggy L. Tibbs, 71, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning April 1, 2021, with her daughter by her side.
Peggy was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Minden, W.Va., a daughter of the late Albert Lewis and Mabel Lawhorn.
She worked at K-Mart as a department manager for 28 years before retiring. She enjoyed her retirement by spending time with her family and looked forward to family Sunday dinners. Her family was her world. She also enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles, reading and taking trips to West Virginia with her family. She had a beautiful heart and such love for the Lord.
Peggy will be deeply missed by her daughter, Anna Tibbs; brother, Thomas (Beth) Lawhorn; sister, Sue (Bill) Woods; nieces, Katherine Woods and Ruth (Dominic) Irwin-Woods; close family friends, Hanna Reimer, Jaimee Klingensmith and her daughters, Kayla and Alaina; many other nieces and nephews; and her grand-pup, Argo.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Albert "Moe" Lawhorn; sister, Verna "Sissy" Boss; her nephew, Michael Parsons; and her much loved dachshund, Cookie.
Cremation was entrusted with Ohio Cremation and Memorial Society / Bowser Funeral Service. The family will have a private gathering at a later date.
