HUBBARD -- John R. Alexander, 70, of Hubbard, entered peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.
He was born Feb. 10, 1950, in Long Beach, Calif.
A veteran of the Marine Corps, he served as a lieutenant in the Vietnam war. John was a union journeyman painter for 40 years and owned Design Marble Inc., John Alexander Painting Co. and was a licensed auctioneer.
He was not only loved by his family and friends but also by the community. He was kind-hearted and would not hesitate to lend a helping hand to anyone, whether he knew you or not. John was a devoted Alabama sports fan, enjoyed fishing and loved to cook. He made the best pasta fagioli and he knew he did. He was known for his sense of humor and laughter. He loved to laugh.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Michele Kushaney (Michael) of Haslet, Texas; his son, John Alexander of Warren; and a granddaughter. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Gaydosh (Paul) of Leavittsburg; a brother-in-law, Joseph Laurie; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and also Billy and his son, Connor Dolan, lifelong family friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Alexander; and his sister, Regina Laurie.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no services.
