Frank J. Humenik Jr. 1942-2021
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. — Frank Joseph Humenik Jr., 78, formerly of Warren, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, in Myrtle Beach, S.C., where he resided for 11 years.
Frank was born Oct. 31, 1942, in Warren, to the late Frank Humenik Sr. and Elizabeth Straniack Humenik.
Frank attended St. Mary High School and graduated in 1960. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University. During that time, he was in the Marine Corps Reserves from 1962 to 1968, when he was honorably discharged. Frank had a long career in sales with Sawhill Tubular Division of Sharon, Pa., until retiring in 1992.
Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting, fishing, wood working and painting.
Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Kathleen Bryson Humenik; two daughters, Cheryl Mitchell (Benjamin “Scott”) of Fuquay Varina, N.C., and Melanie Caron (Robert) of Apex, N.C.; sister, Elizabeth Lee of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Kayla and Zachary Mitchell and Nathan and Kathryn Caron; sister and brother-in-law, Anthony and Marcellene Grayson of Warren; and cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Elizabeth Humenik; and brother, Robert Humenik.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
