Sarah L. Newbrough 1991-2020

She was born Sept. 11, 1991, in Mount Pleasant, S.C., the daughter of Gary E. and Cathy Chambers Newbrough Sr.

Sarah was a 2009 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, where she was on the cheerleading squad and a graduate of the Raphael’s School of Beauty. She was employed as a licensed beautician at The Studio in Howland for seven years, and enjoyed shopping, traveling and visiting with her niece, Mariah Newbrough.

She will be deeply missed by her mother, of Harrellsville, N.C.; her father, of Niles; a brother, Jacob “Jack” Newbrough of Harrellsville, N.C.; a sister, Hannah Newbrough and her companion, Jason Ray of Harrellsville, N.C.; paternal grandparents, James L. and Jenny Newbrough Sr. of Niles; maternal grandparents, Henry Vance Dunlow of Colerain, N.C., and Joyce Bonney and her husband, Ed of Harrellsville, N.C.; and her companion, Brandon Francis.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary E. “Duke” Newbrough II; and her maternal grandfather, Coley “Bill” Chambers.

Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Joseph Rossi and Sons Funeral Home in Niles.

Due to the current health situation, social distancing measures are expected to be observed and friends coming to pay respects to the family are kindly asked to promptly depart the funeral home after doing so. Facial coverings are mandatory also.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Niles, where social distancing and facial coverings will also be mandatory. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church the morning of the funeral.

Burial will be in Niles City Cemetery.
