SHARON, Pa. -- Genevieve F. "Jan" Molek, 99, of Sharon, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2017, at Nugent Continuing Care Retirement Community in Hermitage, Pa.
Born June 22, 1918, in Cherry Tree, Pa., she was a daughter of Jacob and Marian Johns Hudson.
Genevieve was formerly head of the cosmetics department at Kaufmann's Department Store and formerly employed by Paul's Shoe Store of Barnesboro, Pa. She was a member of Uniontown United Methodist Church. She was the hospitality lady of the Senior Citizens Salvation Army of Sharon.
She is survived by children, Elizabeth (Louis) Szuch of Niles and Frederick (Barbara Howard) Molek of Bristolville. She is also survived by grandchildren, Kelle Cohol, Jeffrey Szuch and Courtney Molek; and great-grandchildren, Eric and Dael Szuch and Alexander Mahn.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Melvin, Irvan, Ivan and Harold; and sisters, Lilly Thompson and Mary Kelley.
Friends will be received from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. Friday, at Long-Contres Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, Pa.
Interment will be in Uniontown Cemetery.
