Lewis C. Cairns IV

CORTLAND – Lewis C. Cairns IV, 25, passed away Friday, Sept. 23, 2016, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 12, 1991, in Warren, the son of Lewis C. Cairns III and Mary K. Courtney.

He was employed by Wind Turbines of Ohio in Alliance as a laborer. He enjoyed skate boarding, fishing and dirt biking.

He was an amazing father, husband, son, brother and friend to all who knew him; he loved everyone. He could brighten up the darkest room with just his smile. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He loved cooking and dreamed of being a chef one day.

To his mother, Mary Kay, he was her best friend, and she will greatly, greatly miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Whitney Cairns, whom he married May 9, 2014; two children, Lewis V and Ryleigh Cairns, both at home; mother and stepfather, Mary (Greg) Courtney of Salem; father and stepmother, Lewis (Natalie) Cairns of Howland; maternal grandmother, Peggy Massary of Warren; paternal grandfather, Lewis C. Cairns Jr. of Warren; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Gary (Colleen) Felger of Champion; siblings, Anthony, Frank, Sarah, Anabelle and Lileana Cairns, Sam (Kim), Alec, Aaron, Olga, Polina, Kamil and Toria Courtney; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Armand Massary, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Ann Cairns.

Family and friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Road NE, Warren, Ohio 44483. A private burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

A celebration of “Lewie’s” life will be celebrated noon Thursday at Leo’s Ristorante in Howland.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made for his children’s education fund.
