Kathryne Cline-Nutt
CORTLAND – On Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 3:21 p.m., Kathryne “Kathy” Cline-Nutt left this world behind to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 86 from congestive heart failure at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 29, 1929, in Warren, to Albert and Annabelle Jones Goldner. Kathy was a resident of Cortland for more than 50 years and spent her winters in Lake Placid, Fla., which she loved.
She worked at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in medical records before managing a doctor’s office then became the medical staff secretary at Warren General Hospital. She retired July 1989 after becoming the director of Warren outpatient services for 14 years.
Kathy loved having the family all together, feeding them with “the more the merrier” attitude! Her favorite hobby was writing letters, which started when she was 14, increasing to more than 100 pen pals. Kathy was a member of Living Lord Lutheran Church in Howland. She was a past member of the Cortland Woman’s Literary Club, past president of Bazetta Historical Society, Cortland Rotary and in the same card club for more than 60 years.
Kathy’s husband and best friend, Martin Nutt, will forever miss her, along with her two sons, Larry (Cindy) Cline of Columbia City, Ind., and Jeff (Margie) Cline of Cortland; and her adopted daughter, Toni (Jerry) Dunbar of Worthington. She leaves behind to remember her love for them two stepsons, Tom (Sharon) Nutt of Lordstown and Dave (Kathy) Nutt of Vienna; and a stepdaughter, Sue (Kevin) Klinger of Sarasota, Fla. She was blessed to have her grandchildren, Shawn Dunbar, Sharyl Reid, April Dunbar and Matt Cline; along with her stepgrandchildren, Shawn Klinger, Jeremy Klinger, Shelly Klinger, Rob Nutt, Sheila Nutt Meadows and Tony Nutt; along with six great-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; a brother, Ken Goldner; and one grandson, Adam Cline, on Nov. 16, 2009.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at Staton-Borowski Funeral Home, 962 North Road NW, Warren, with the Rev. William Leitch officiating. Friends may call 1 to 3 p.m. prior to the services Saturday at the funeral home. Kathy will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
