Thelma L. Mattias 1923-2014
YOUNGSTOWN – Thelma L. Mattias, 90, of Youngstown, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2014, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown.
She was born June 8, 1923, the daughter of Phillip and Blanche Simons.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Riggle of Austintown; two daughters, Mary Jane Stewart of Trinity, Ala., and Darlene Day of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mattias; a daughter, Diane Whalen; a son, Bill Whalen; and a sister.
There are no memorial services or calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to Kinnick Funeral Home.
