MINERAL RIDGE – Douglas B. Java, formerly of Southington, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Vista Center at the Ridge.
He was born Feb 18, 1935, in Frederic, Wis., the son of Logan A. Java and Ruby Proffit-Java.
He was a 32nd-degree Mason, a Shriner, a member of the Moose, and loved NASCAR.
He was employed at Delphi Packard Electric for more than 35 years.
He is survived by his two sons, David A. (Denise Goldman) Java of Jacksonville, Fla., and Daniel M. Java of Warren; and his three grandchildren, Amanda Java, Marcus Java and Dylan Java, all of Warren.
He was preceded in death by his father; his mother; a brother, Duane Java of Jacksonville, Fla.; and his wife, Elizabeth Buck Java.
He will be entombed at Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna. Services were handled by Selby-Heavilin Funeral Home.
