Phillip B. Reilly, 1919-2013

WARREN – Phillip B. Reilly, 93, died Friday, April 12, 2013, at Windsor House of Champion.

He was born June 11, 1919, in Coalton, W.Va., the son of William and Lillie Watts Reilly.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

Mr. Reilly worked at Van Huffel Tube.

He leaves behind a daughter, Connie Jones, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Gould Reilly; a daughter, Kathryn Gardner Phillips; and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum in Vienna.

Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.

Arrangements were handled by Selby-Heavilin Funeral Home.

Phillip was born June 11, 1919, in Coalton, W.Va., the son of William and Lillie (Watts) Reilly.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater.

Phillip was employed as a slitter operator for Van Huffel Tube for over 30 years, retiring in 1982.

He married Josephine Gould in 1939 in Winchester, Va. She passed away Nov. 29, 2000.

Phillip leaves behind a daughter, Connie (Arch) Jones; a son-in-law, Joe Phillips and his companion Marilyn Park; grandchildren, Mike Jones, Patty (Tom) Jones, Kelly (Dr. John) Barnhart and Amy (Kevin) Kelley; great-grandchildren, Brooke, Michael and Matthew Barnhart, David and Devon (Tony) Alexander, and Jayna Vilsack; and great-great-grandchildren, Jasmine Ryan, Alex Fuda and Addison Gaskill.

His wife, Josephine Reilly; his daughter, Kathryn Gardner Phillips; and a grandson, Marty Jones, preceded Phillip in death.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today and from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at Crown Hill Chapel Mausoleum, 3966 Warren Sharon Road, Vienna.

Burial will take place at Crown Hill Burial Park.
