SCOPE offers lunch and learn program
NILES -- The Niles SCOPE Senior Center, 14 E. State St., Niles, will offer free lunch and learn program 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The program will start with lunch, followed by the speaker.
The topic is diabetes, presented by Beth Massaro, education specialist with Gateway Health as part of its Health Awareness Series.
Preregistration is required.

McDonald open for kindergarten kids
McDONALD -- McDonald Local School District is accepting kindergarten open enrollment student applications at Roosevelt Elementary School, 410 W. Seventh St.
The school district will accept applications for residents 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday. Residents and open enrollment applications will be accepted 9 to 11 a.m. March 7 and 25.
The children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30. To apply, bring the child's original birth certificate, the child's Social Security card, proof of residence and the child's shot records.
If a parent or guardian is missing any of the necessary items, attend the registration, and the school staff will assist in the process.
