Kindergarten enrollment starts
McDONALD -- McDonald Local School District is accepting kindergarten open enrollment student applications at Roosevelt Elementary School, 410 W. Seventh St.
The school district will accept applications for residents and open enrollment 9 to 11 a.m. March 7 and 25.
The children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 30. To apply, bring the child's original birth certificate, the child's Social Security card, proof of residence and the child's shot records.

WEATHERSFIELD -- The school district will accept 2017-18 kindergarten registration applications for residents 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 13-17 at the Seaborn Elementary School office, 3800 Niles Carver Road.
At the time of registering, students will sign up for a screening time that will take place March 30 or 31. Screening will take 10 minutes.
The open enrollment application window is 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 3. Open enrollment applications can be downloaded from the school website beginning April 3.
When submitting kindergarten open enrollment applications, students will sign up for a screening set for April 28.
Parish ready for Irish fundraiser
NILES -- St. Stephen Parish will hold its annual Luck of the Irish fundraiser 5:30 p.m. March 18 at Ciminero's Banquet Centre, 123 N. Main St., Niles.
The fundraiser will include a buffet-style dinner, desserts and an open bar.
Tickets are $50 and can be purchased by calling the parish office at 330-652-4396.
