Niles City School District:
The basic menu is the same for all buildings. There is a daily ham sandwich option available at the Niles Intermediate and Primary schools. Several a la carte items are available daily at Niles Middle and High schools (prices vary).
Lunch prices:
Primary / Intermediate – $2.50 daily
Middle / High – $2.85 daily
Reduced lunch is 40 cents daily or $2 weekly
Breakfast is available in all buildings one half-hour prior to starting time. The cost is $1 for the elementary buildings and $1.25 at the middle and high schools. Reduced breakfast is 30 cents.
Niles Intermediate / Primary schools:
* Fat-free chocolate, fat-free strawberry, fat-free white and low-fat white milk are served daily
* Fresh fruits and vegetables are offered daily
* Daily lunch alternatives include bologna and cheese munchable Mondays, popcorn chicken salad w/ dressing Tuesdays, ham and cheese sandwich Wednesdays, dragon tails w/ bread slice Thursdays, and hot dog on whole wheat bun Fridays.
TODAY: Macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, green beans, chilled pears
THURSDAY: Spaghetti and meatballs, side garden salad, chilled pineapple, choice of milk
FRIDAY: Homemade cheese or pepperoni pizza, sweet peas, fresh orange wedges, choice of milk
MONDAY: Mozzarella meatball hoagie, baked french fries, chilled pears, choice of milk
TUESDAY: Bosco sticks, baked beans, mixed fruit cup, choice of milk
High / middle schools:
* 1-percent white, non-fat white and non-fat flavored milk are served daily
TODAY: Dragon tails w/ bread, glazed carrots, cinnamon applesauce, choice of milk
THURSDAY: Macaroni and cheese, dinner roll, steamed broccoli, chilled pears, choice of milk
FRIDAY: Homemade assorted pizza, seasoned green beans, chilled peaches, choice of milk
MONDAY: Mozzarella meatball hoagie, baked french fries, chilled pears, choice of milk
TUESDAY: Fiestada pizza w/ Mexican rice, refried beans, chilled applesauce, choice of milk
