Police activity reported Oct. 1-15:

Oct. 15, 5:30 p.m. — Jacob Dickerhoof, who had an active warrant, was taken into custody and transported to Trumbull County jail after a traffic stop in the area of South State Street and Howard Street.

Oct. 11, 3:06 p.m. — Theft reported in the 900 block of North State Street after a man and woman had stolen items, including a pregnancy test, from Family Dollar and made threats.

2:56 p.m. — Suspicious call reported from Brine Pharmacy on North State Street after the pharmacist reported they received a call from a man claiming to be someone else making a false request for a prescription.

Oct. 10, 6:08 p.m. — Disturbance reported at 49 Hancock St. after a physical domestic dispute took place. Police found a man and woman arguing on the front porch.

1:59 p.m. — Property damage reported at 528 N. Ward St. after residents found a parked vehicle with the driver’s side window smashed out. A house front door also was damaged.

Oct. 9, 1:56 p.m. — Resident at 506 Park Ave. reported to police having an ongoing issue with an ex-friend. Halloween decorations were taken off the door.

2:21 p.m. — Tires slashed at 20 W. Second St.

1:07 a.m. — Fight reported at 19 Jones Court after a man and woman were arguing with another man reported to be under influence of alcohol. The woman told police the man kicked in the bedroom door.

Oct. 8, 4:02 p.m. — Investigation reported at 248 S. Davis Ave. after the woman told police she had a protection order against her neighbors. Police told the neighbor to remain on his own property.

Oct. 4, 7:57 p.m. — Animal complaint reported on North State Street and Smithsonian Avenue after an injured deer was lying on the side of the road.

8:18 p.m. — Man reported to be waving around a gun at 212 S. Davis St. The man was attempting to take his child from the property, according to witnesses.

Oct. 3, 10:42 p.m. — Investigation reported at 287 Mosier Road after a report of shots being fired. Police found shell casings in a driveway but no vehicles in the area.

2:56 p.m. — Resident at 1125 N. Highland Ave. reported that someone switched license plates on vehicles at an apartment building. One vehicle had a shattered driver’s side video and damaged bumper.

Oct. 2, 7:54 a.m. — Animal complaint reported at 130 E. Howard St. after a sick raccoon was found inside a resident’s fenced in backyard. The raccoon was euthanized.

Oct, 1, 5:05 p.m. — Resident at 100 N. Market St. reported that he had an Ohio Edison bill showing up on his credit history that listed an address in Newton Falls.
