Aug. 11, 5:58 a.m. -- Officers assisted Cortland fire and EMS in the 200 block of Sunset Drive.
Aug. 10, 11:52 p.m. -- Counterfeit money was received at a business in the 200 block of South High Street.
Aug. 9, 9:31 p.m. -- A suspicious white man wearing a black shirt, glasses and a baseball cap was reported in the 100 block of Diamond Way. Another resident told police it was a Door Dash driver making a delivery.
7:09 a.m. -- Animal complaint reported on Fowler Street.
4:21 p.m. -- Threats reported at the police station.
10:43 a.m. -- Suspicious black truck reported at Willow Park. The person told officers he was just enjoying the scenery.
2:52 a.m. -- Suspicious lights on a boat reported in the 200 block of High Street.
Aug. 7, 5:31 p.m. -- A green Subaru driven by a woman speeds through the area daily, according to a resident in the 300 block of Deer Creek Trail.
12:11 a.m. -- Domestic disturbance reported in the 100 block of Market Street.
Aug. 6, 10:37 p.m. -- An Alyssa Court resident found an injured small tan dog. The dog was reunited with its owner.
7:57 p.m. -- Officers assisted ODNR with finding two missing swimmers at Mosquito Lake. They were found safe and unharmed.
12:49 p.m. -- Two men were having a verbal argument in a parking lot in the 3600 block of state Route 5.
Aug. 5, 3:57 p.m. -- Suspicious dark blue Ford SUV reported in the 100 block of Frostwood Drive. Officers were unable to locate it.
8:48 a.m. -- Criminal damaging reported in the 500 block of Fowler Street.
Aug. 4, 9:33 a.m. -- A suspicious white man was seen standing by a tree on Cortview Drive. Officers could not locate the man.
Aug. 3, 9:27 p.m. -- Skunk hit by a vehicle in the 100 block of Market Street.
3:34 p.m. -- Two pit bull dogs running loose in the area of Colonial Drive and East Main Street.
Aug. 2, 4:55 p.m. -- Identity theft reported in the 200 block of Cricklewood Drive.
4:27 p.m. -- A man on a Segway selling pest control reported in the 100 block of Oakdale Place. He was told to no longer solicit until he had the proper permits.
9:53 a.m. -- A resident in the 300 block of North High Street reported a white truck drives recklessly every afternoon.
Aug. 1, 6:51 a.m. -- Suspicious brown truck reported at a business in the 3300 block of Niles Cortland Road.
July 31, 1:23 p.m. -- Officers assisted Cortland firefighters with a drowning in the 100 block of Fairway Drive after the resident was found unresponsive in his swimming pool. Attempts to revive the 59-year-old man were unsuccessful and he later died at the hospital, according to police.
July 30, 10:12 p.m. -- Neighbor problem reported in the 300 block of Fowler Street.
9:53 p.m. -- A resident on Cortview Drive reported unknown people with flashlights were throwing rocks at her house. Officers did not see any damage and believe the lights were headlights from a vehicle pulling out of a business across the street.
July 29, 6:26 p.m. -- Harassment reported in the 500 block of Wakefield Drive.
11:17 a.m. -- Unwanted vehicle reported in the 100 block of South High Street.
July 28, 8:41 p.m. -- Welfare check conducted on a child walking in the 200 block of Old Oak Drive. The child's mother reported he was looking for the ice cream truck.
6:28 p.m. -- A resident in the 700 block of Tournament Trail reported finding a snake curled up in her garden.
4:26 p.m. -- Unwanted man and woman reported in the 200 block of North High Street.
