Police activity reported Aug. 11-18:

Aug. 18, 7:18 p.m. -- A suspicious man was reported in the 400 block of East Main Street.

4:24 p.m. -- Theft reported at a business in the 3300 block of Niles Cortland Road.

3:02 p.m. -- Harassment reported at the police station.

Aug. 17, 9:19 p.m. -- Officers assisted Cortland EMS in the 3100 block of Fowler Street.

8:52 p.m. -- Officers assisted Cortland EMS in the 200 block of Fox Run.

4:29 p.m. -- Theft reported at a business in the 400 block of South High Street.

Aug. 16, 9:08 p.m. -- Two residents reported hearing gunshots in the area of Rosewae Avenue, Woodview Drive and Heather Lane. Officers spoke to a resident in the 100 block of Cricket Lane who advised they were having a celebration and setting off fireworks. The resident was advised of the new laws.

6:38 p.m. -- Two dogs were reported running in the 400 block of North Mecca Street. The owner arrived and retrieved the dogs.

2:13 p.m. -- A man was reported yelling in the 100 block of East Main Street. Officers located the subject in the 200 block of South High Street. The subject was offered a ride home and accepted.

12:37 p.m. -- Theft reported at a business in the 300 block of North High Street.

Aug. 14, 7:42 p.m. -- A resident reported vehicles racing in the area of Fowler and South High streets.

5:20 p.m. -- Reckless gray Mustang reported in the area of Niles Cortland Road and state Route 305.

Aug. 13, 9:08 p.m. -- Damage to a vehicle was reported in the 2000 block of Liberty Boulevard.

7:49 p.m. -- Reckless silver Buick reported in the area of Maple Avenue and South Colonial Drive.

4:46 p.m. -- Officers assisted Bazetta police with an incident in the 2000 block of Howland Wilson Road.

12:08 p.m. -- A resident reported damage to a fire hydrant in the 100 block of East Main Street.

9:58 a.m. -- Business in the 200 block of South High Street reported a man wearing jeans and a black shirt stole a pepperoni roll and possibly other items then fled southbound on a bicycle. Officers located a subject in the 100 block of North Mecca Street riding a bicycle and actively eating a pepperoni roll. When asked where he obtained the food, the subject admitted to stealing it and trading his hat for a bicycle at a business that was closed, in the 100 block of South High Street. The man arrested on two counts of theft.

Aug. 12, 11:47 p.m. -- Underage party was reported in the area of Whitetail Run and Fawn Lane. Officers spoke to a homeowner who advised unwanted subjects arrived and left when asked.

10:36 a.m. -- Officers assisted Bazetta police with an incident in the 2000 block of Andrews Drive.

2:44 a.m. -- A business in the 3200 block of Niles Cortland Road reported a suspicious orange vehicle in the lot.

Aug. 11, 5:58 a.m. -- Officers assisted Cortland fire/EMS in the 200 block of Sunset Drive.
