Former Harding athlete dies in officer-involved shooting in Indiana

Staff report A former Warren G. Harding High School athlete was reportedly killed Wednesday in an officer-involved shooting in Indianapolis. Reports indicate that Dalys Jett, 21, died in the shooting after police said he had fired a gun at a group of police officers. Howland library breaks ground for renovation

HOWLAND — They’re turning the page at the Howland branch of the Warren-Trumbull County Public Library with a groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday that kicked off its $2.2 million in renovations. Niles park board plans for multiuse play area

NILES — The Niles Park Board is seeking bids for a planned multiuse play area at the northeastern corner of Waddell Park. Park Director Mark Pallante said he is advertising for bids for a contractor to do the work. He said when a contractor is selected he would like to see the project completed by the fall. YOUNGSTOWN — A summer camp offered to local children by Easterseals of Northeast Ohio is not only benefiting them but the grandparents, aunts and uncles taking care of them. Called “Kinship Summer Camp,” the program held for seven weeks four days per week in June and July, has children spending four hours at the camp while their caregivers are given time to spend on their own.
