Paper seeks Twenty Under 20 nominations

WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle is seeking nominations for its 14th annual Twenty Under 20 program. The newspaper will recognize 20 high-achieving individuals younger than 20 for their leadership skills through volunteerism, extracurricular activities and academic achievements. Nominees need to be a resident of Trumbull County, at least a freshman in high school and no older than 19 as of Dec. 1. Incident at Dems tent leads to arrest at fair

CANFIELD — A man was arrested by Mahoning County Sheriff’s deputies at the Mahoning County Democratic Party tent at the Canfield Fair on Sunday afternoon. Patrick Havas, 38, of Canfield, is at the Mahoning County jail on two charges of felony assault and one count of disorderly conduct, according to jail records. No bond was set, and he likely will appear in Mahoning County Court in Canfield on Tuesday because the court is closed for Labor Day.
