Paper seeks nominations for Twenty Under 20

WARREN — The Tribune Chronicle is seeking nominations for its 14th annual Twenty Under 20 program. The newspaper will recognize 20 high-achieving individuals younger than 20 for their leadership skills through volunteerism, extracurricular activities and academic achievements. Nominees need to be a resident of Trumbull County, at least a freshman in high school and no older than 19 as of Dec. 1. 3 Warren teenagers arrested in shooting near Canfield Fairgrounds

Staff report CANFIELD — Three teenage boys from Warren were arrested following an incident that happened near the Canfield Fairgrounds on Fairground Boulevard Sunday night. The teens were detained following an extensive search by dozens of law enforcement officers, according to Canfield police Chief Chuck Colucci. A call about the shooting came in just before 11:30 p.m. after the fair was closed. The search involved 15 Canfield officers, 20 Mahoning County sheriff deputies and several K-9 units, he said.
