Pedestrian struck by semi in Hubbard

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP — A Hubbard truck driver was killed when another semi struck him while he was outside his vehicle on Interstate 80 Thursday evening. The Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Warren Post is investigating the crash that happened just before 8:30 p.m. Thursday when a 2021 Freightliner Cascadia semi-truck and trailer operated by Rashid Salah, 52, of Rosemount, Minnesota, was traveling eastbound in the right lane of I-80. Al Cutrona said he plans to introduce legislation to ensure information they collect is used appropriately. Weathersfield Trustees to install protocols

WEATHERFIELD — The township has joined other communities in placing a 12-month moratorium on fiber optic installation along township roads. Trustee Ed Whittaker said at the August meeting there is nothing against any specific company that has done the installation work in the township. Missing Vienna teenager found

VIENNA — A search for a teenager missing for days has concluded with him being safely found. According to township police Chief Dan Adkins, first responders found Landyn Zagorski, 17. He was last seen Sunday in an RV on an adjacent property approximately 100 yards behind his home.
