Two NW apartment buildings issued condemnation notices

By ED RUNYAN 1 min read

WARREN -- Two of the buildings in the Stonegate Apartments on Robert Avenue NW have been issued condemnation notices -- one of them resulting from a sewage problem that developed a few months ago.

Warren City Environmental Health Director Angela Fusillo said Thursday the owners of the complex have been working on it. The residents from the bottom floor of that building were required to leave.

Some of the units were already empty while work was being done, but the work has not been completed so the notice was issued in hope of seeing the work completed, she said.

The other building -- C -- has a problem with a hot water tank, Fusillo said.

The owners have 30 days to fix both issues. As of now, none of the residents is being required to vacate as a result of the notice.

The owners have 30 more days to fix the issues. One reason for issuing notices is that the problems in the two buildings were affecting common areas of the building.
