YOUNGSTOWN -- The two candidates for attorney general -- Republican Keith Faber and Democrat John Kulewicz -- will debate Oct. 19 at Youngstown State University with the Youngstown Press Club hosting.
The candidates issued a joint statement reading: "We look forward to a free, fair and informative debate for Ohio voters. We appreciate the Youngstown Press Club hosting with the Youngstown State University Office of Government Affairs providing this opportunity for Ohioans to get to know each of us and our policies as candidates for Ohio's chief law enforcement office."
The debate is at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 19 at the YSU Williamson College of Business Administration's auditorium.
Tony Paglia, a former senior regional editor at The Vindicator, is serving as moderator. Paglia spent 30 years at The Vindicator as an editor and reporter and then worked as vice president of government and media relations for the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber before retiring.
Faber is serving his second and final term as state auditor. He is a former Ohio House and Senate member.
Kulewicz is an Upper Arlington City Council member and retired last year after 44 years as an attorney and partner for the Columbus-based law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymore and Pease.
