WHAT: Board of Education regular meeting Tuesday
PRESENT: Kimberly Barrell, Michele Lamb, Sarah Conroy, Mary Ann McMahon and Christopher Parise
The board:
* Accepted the following donations: several boxes of outdoor toys and breakfast from Grace Church to Niles Primary School staff; several coffee cups from Barb Broz to Niles Primary School for Santa’s Workshop; school supplies from Walmart to Niles Primary School.
* Accepted Rebecca Martin’s resignation as a bus driver.
* Approved a one-year limited contract for Edward Snider as an assistant custodian at Niles Middle School, effective Oct. 19.
* Approved a one-year limited contract for Caiden Ciccia as an assistant custodian at Niles McKinley High School, effective Oct. 19.
* Approved a one-year limited contract for Demetrea Armstrong as an assistant cook at Niles Intermediate School.
* Approved 2026-27 afterschool intervention programs for students in grades K-12 and supplemental payments for certificated staff involved in the intervention and training at a rate of $40 an hour.
