WHAT: Board of Education meeting Monday
PRESENT: Anna Martin, William Cummings, Josh Barr, Donald Newell and Amanda O’Neill
The board:
* Accepted the following donations: $10,000 from Greenwood’s Hubbard Chevrolet and $300 for stadium banners to the district’s athletic department from Don’s Repair That Glass, Santangelo, LLC, the Carsone family and Barb Wells; $4,000 from Hubbard Elementary Parents Association to the Elementary Principal Fund; $787 from HEPA for elementary class field trips; and $200 from an anonymous donor to the Food Service Department.
* Approved a resolution authorizing the sale of personal property, including two basketball backboards/hoops, one set of three lockers, and 50 wooden bleacher boards from the Roosevelt Gym.
* Accepted the resignation of Kristine Frank, teacher, for retirement purposes, effective June 1, 2027.
* Accepted the resignation of Dennis Parise, teacher, for retirement purposes, effective June 1, 2027.
* Accepted the resignation of Maryann Bartko from her full-time position as Special Education/Fiscal Secretary and approved her as Fiscal Secretary under a limited contract on a part-time basis.
* Approved George Crouch as Acting Building & Grounds Supervisor on an as-needed basis, effective Oct. 26.
* Approved Tiffany Marian as Hubbard High School homework help teacher for the 2026-27 school year.
