WHAT: Township trustees meeting Monday

PRESENT: Lynn Michalec, Jeff Davis and Todd Williams

Trustees:

•Approved Sundance reporting program for the police department.

•Approved the purchase of a flammable storage cabinet for the fire department not to exceed $1,200.

• Set trick or treat 5 to 7 p.m. Oct. 31.

•Approved payment to the Cortland Fire Department for August for medic assist at $285.

•Approved payment to Major League Tire for four new tires and an oil change on the police cruiser for $996.72.

•Discussed the Fowler Christmas Walk set for Nov. 28.

•Heard from fire Chief Todd Metzendorf the fire station open house, where the community can see the new vehicles, has been postponed until spring.

Bristol

WHAT: Township trustee meetings Sept. 15 and Oct. 6

PRESENT: Doug Seemann, Rhonda Snyder and Jeff Waldeck

Trustees:

•Heard from resident Matt Lynn about painting and fixing up the Bristol Congregational Church building at the center. Snyder said the building sustained hall damage from a storm in the spring.

•Heard from Road Supervisor Ray Duffield that he is working on the pricing and design for the fire station sign base.

•Heard from Ken Weeks of the zoning commission the commission did an overview of a template for creating an amendment for data centers.

•Approved $500 for National Fire Prevention Week items and activities for the fire department.

•Heard from Seemann the Oakfield North Road culvert work was completed. He said paving on the road will be done in two phases in 2027 with Ohio Public Works Commission funds. Trustees had approved the installation of one culvert on Oakfield North Road. Duffield will watch and assist so he is able to complete culvert projects for the township going forward.

•Approved the purchase of five new sets of turnout gear from MES at $23,783.

•Approved a large tool box at up to $1,200 for road department items.
