Bazetta receives grant for drainage project

BAZETTA -- Township Trustees have received $114,700 in Ohio Public Works Commission funds for an emergency drainage improvement and repair project in the Timber Creek development.

Trustees met this week to pass legislation to accept the grant funding for the project.

Trustee Chairman Mike Hovis said the OPWC grant will cover 90% of the costs of the project with the local 10% share at $12,775.

He said the culvert was washed out and damaged on Timber Creek Drive and in need of repairs.

Hovis said plans are to get the project completed before the end of the year.
