WARREN -- Treasure Williams, 30, was arraigned this week in Warren Municipal Court on a first-degree felony charge of aggravated burglary and lesser earlier charges following her arrest in a Monday incident on Williamsburg Street NW.

Williams is accused of trying to steal from the garage of a man while he was in the garage, leading to a scuffle involving Williams, the man and his granddaughter, a police report states. Bond was set at $100,000 Tuesday.

The report states officers were called to Williamsburg Street at 3:47 p.m. Monday for a fight. An officer spoke with a woman who said she lives at the home with her grandparents. She said she was in the house when she heard a commotion in the garage. She went to the garage and saw an unknown woman, later identified as Williams, on top of her grandfather, and they were fighting.

She joined the fight, and all three were kicking and throwing punches. She and her grandfather disengaged from Williams, who grabbed a weed whacker from the garage and swung it at the man and his granddaughter. The man took Williams to the ground.

His granddaughter, who suffered an injury to her foot on broken glass, ran inside and called 911. Williams left the area. Her grandfather was not there when the officer arrived, but his granddaughter provided the details on what happened, the report states.

The granddaughter showed the officer a photo of the suspect. The photo was relayed to other officers, and Williams was found and detained nearby. Williams had a warrant on misdemeanor criminal trespassing and possessing drug paraphernalia filed July 31 in Warren Municipal Court.

Williams also was arraigned on those charges Tuesday.
