WHAT: Commissioners meeting Wednesday

Commissioners:
• Unanimously approved a vehicle replacement program for the sheriff's office that would provide a minimum of four new patrol cars a year. The program is expected to allow Sheriff Mike Wilson to begin replacing some vehicles that have nearly 300,000 miles on them. Wilson said the office has 22 patrol vehicles that have more than 150,000 miles on them. There are 65 vehicles in the sheriff's fleet.
• Approved contracting with 2M Services, LLC of Niles to replace three home sewage treatment systems to be paid for through the HSTS Reserve Program at a cost of $44,550. The award is contingent upon the homeowners' payments of their local matches totaling $4,395.
• Authorized Bernard to enter into a three-year contract with RAPID SOS of New York for $195,056 to provide a subscription based service of Harmony Advantage QA/Q1, which will assist in improving proficiency at the Trumbull County 911 dispatch center.
• Authorized the Trumbull County Soil and Water Conservation District to scrap a 2012 Ford Escape.
• Provided a letter of support to Mercer County Commissioners to proceed with preliminary engineering studies for the rehabilitation of bridge No. 1812, which serves as a connection between the two counties. It is owned by both Mercer and Trumbull counties.
• Approved a $4,139.42 change order with Declan Construction of Brookfield for the Trumbull County Coroner's Office renovation project. No additional funds are being requested.
• Approved spending $30,634.62 to purchase technical equipment and doing vehicle graphics and striping on four used police interceptor units purchased by the Trumbull County Sheriff's Office.
•Approved a $34,300 contract with Hunter's Asphalt Services of Cortland to do paving and asphalt work at the Trumbull County Jail, 150 High St. NW; Trumbull County Job and Family Services, 280 North Park Ave..; and Trumbull County Vehicle Maintenance, 605 Panther Ave.
