WHAT: Park board meeting Sept. 8

The board:
• Approved a contract with Terreri Construction for a fence and concrete project at Wilder Field at $208,600.
• Heard from Park Director Mark Pallante that new turf was installed inside the wellness center at $171,345. The center was closed for two weeks this summer to accommodate the work.
• Will rebid for the multipurpose recreation play area planned for the northeastern corner of Waddell Park. Pallante said bids were high and the project may be scaled back.
• Received a donation of Mien Corp Masonry to be used for an entrance arch at Wilder Field.
