WHAT: Board of education meeting Sept. 9
PRESENT: Cheryl Kistler, William Catlin, Rebekah Conn and Michele Wells
ABSENT: Niki Reid
The board:
• Approved Elena Scirocco as a long-term substitute teacher. She will fill in for Angela Shilling who is on family leave for the school year.
• Approved the transfer of $75,000 for August and September from the general fund to the food services fund. All students in the district receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.
• Approved the annual agreement with the Lordstown Apple Cider Festival Committee for the annual festival, which is Friday through Sunday on school grounds off Salt Springs Road.
• Approved the removal of 25 cafeteria tables from the district's inventory to donate them to the village.
