The Warren-Trumbull County Public Library joins with the American Library Association and libraries nationwide in celebrating Library Card Sign-Up Month.
The community is invited to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at their local library by signing up for a library card. This year's theme, "A Library Card Hits All the Right Notes," is a reminder that libraries offer something for everyone -- no matter their interests.
"Today's libraries are vibrant community centers offering much more than books. At the Warren-Trumbull County Library, patrons will find diverse programs, computer and tech classes, storytimes, book clubs, author talks and more. From borrowing books, eBooks, and audiobooks to streaming movies, a library card helps everyone find more of what they enjoy -- all without stretching their budget," a news release from the library states.
Anyone who lives, works, attends school or owns property in Ohio is eligible to sign up for a free library card. To sign up for a full-service library card, stop by any branch location (in Brookfield, Cortland, Eastwood Mall, Howland, Liberty or Warren) or visit the Bookmobile or Pop-Up Library. Since 1987, Library Card Sign-Up Month has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. The annual event encourages parents, caregivers and students to sign up for a free library card that will save them money while offering rewards in academic achievement and lifelong learning.
