LIBERTY -- A woman said bank representatives told her that she would not be reimbursed any money after she reported a theft to police Saturday.
According to a police report, Liberty police were called to a Fifth Avenue residence, where they met a woman who said an unknown person had taken money from her bank account. The woman provided officers with an investigation report from Huntington Bank, which showed six transactions from Sept. 2 to Sept. 8 totaling $1,625.
The officer noted the transactions happened at three separate ATM locations.
The woman said she was scheduled to have a new debit card delivered but did not receive it, showing transactions from her account that showed an unknown debit card number that appeared to be linked to her account.
The woman said she did not authorize anyone else to have access to her account, and she planned to speak with Huntington representatives to cancel any debit cards associated with it, adding that they told her previously that she would not be reimbursed any funds.
