BRACEVILLE TOWNSHIP -- A 25-year-old Leavittsburg man died in a two-vehicle accident on state Route 5 Friday night near the intersection of state Route 82 in what some people call the Center Of The World.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol stated in a press release that Devin Totherow was traveling eastbound on Route 5 on a 2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide at 9:26 p.m. A juvenile was driving a 2001 Ford Mustang westbound on Route 5 and tried to turn left into a private parking lot.

As the Mustang traveled left of center into the eastbound lanes to complete the turn, it was struck by the motorcycle driven by Totherow, the report states.

Totherow was transported by EMT Ambulance to St. Joseph Warren Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. It is unknown whether Totherow was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the State Patrol stated.

Assisting agencies at the scene included Braceville Fire and EMS, EMT Ambulance, Allen's Towing, and Harshman's Towing.

The crash remains under investigation.
