WHAT: Township trustees meeting Aug. 11

Trustees:
• Remembered John Scheckelhoff, a softball coach and sponsor of different sports teams who donated his time and resources to the township, who died Aug. 5. He received the Wreathesfield Township Community Leadership Award in 2017.
• Remembered Craig Henz, a former firefighter who served in the 1990s and 2000s, who also died recently.
• Received a donation of five pet oxygen masks from Never Muzzled and Legacy Dog Rescue for the fire department.
• Approved an agreement with Active 911 for one year at $832. The Active Alert application is used by the fire department using computer aided dispatching, mapping, routing and packaging notifications.
• Authorized the closure of Wildwood Drive for a block party 4 to 10 p.m. Saturday. This is the 32nd year for the block party.
