WHAT: Board of education meeting Aug. 17
PRESENT: Brooke Vondrasek, Jared Bilas, Kristina Stephens, Candy Bemus and Don Mickel
The board:
• Approved complimentary passes for school events for current and past board members, community members age 62 and older and for one representative of the opposing school team. A special pass also was approved allowing Bristol students free admission.
• Waived elementary school workbook fees and high school general fees for students.
• Approved the girls golf team's participation in the Mahoning Girls Golf Classic on Sept. 5 in Hermitage, Pa.
• Approved Vondrasek as delegate and Stephens as alternate to the Ohio School Boards Association conference in November.
• Approved ST Strategic Solutions for district electronic requisitions effective Dec. 1 at $7,195 for the first year, $8,105 the second year and $8,195 the third year.
• Approved proceeding with needed bus repairs at $3,599.
