VIENNA -- A Vienna teenager went missing again over the weekend, and the search for him will take a different route.
According to police Chief Dan Adkins on Monday afternoon, the search for 17-year-old Landyn Zagorski has been turned over to the Trumbull County Sheriff's Department, which took a runaway juvenile report.
Adkins noted that Zagorski has "quite the history" of running away, and law enforcement can't call for assistance every time he goes missing, adding that he's run away five times.
Adkins said Vienna's police department has no plans to form a search party, but it doesn't mean they're abandoning the boy.
"I was told there were people out last night looking for him, and I've seen a couple (of social media) posts -- that's as far as it's went," Adkins said. "There's been nothing formal by us. Now don't get me wrong, if people call in tips and say, 'Hey, we saw him over here,' or 'We saw him over --' then we're going to go send people out, and we're going to take a look."
"By no means are we blowing this off, but we're not going to go full-scale search party like we did the last time," he added.
Zagorski went missing Saturday afternoon and was last reported seen on Ridge Road in Vienna. He has autism and also takes medication.
The teen was last seen wearing a light blue shirt, silver basketball shorts, black socks and no shoes. He is 17 with brown hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet, 3 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds.

Zagorski is the same teen who went missing Aug. 11 and was found safely two days later inside an RV on property near his family.
Officials have said previously Zagorski is diagnosed with "high-functioning autism" and warned that he would be likely to hide or run away if approached.
Zagorski was missing when first responders found him in a recreational vehicle on an adjacent property approximately 100 yards behind his home.
