Warren police looking for man who is legally blind
WARREN -- The Warren Police Department is looking for a 37-year-old man whose family said is legally blind and has been missing since Friday.
Michael Stroup, 37, was last seen at 4 p.m. Friday in the area of West Market Street and Lovers Lane, according to a news release from the Warren police.
Stroup is between 5 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 300 to 340 pounds. The release states that Stroup has a full beard.
His family said Stroup is legally blind and may appear disoriented if found.
Anyone with information about Stroup's whereabouts is asked to contact the Trumbull County 911 Center at 330- 841-2512.
Tree knocked down in Niles during severe storm
NILES -- After a severe thunderstorm Saturday afternoon, a large tree branch fell on the roof of a house in the 800 block of John Street.
City crews were called out early Sunday morning after the tree branch partly landed on a house and yard. Nearby electrical wires were also pulled down.
There were no reported injuries and no reports of power outages. A section of John Street was closed for debris removal.
A 911 spokesman said no other calls were reported of major damage following Saturday afternoon's heavy thunderstorm,
The storm brought heavy rainfall and strong winds. The spokesman said some roadways were flooded.
