HUBBARD -- The Eagle Joint Fire District was assisted this weekend at a house fire in the 100 block of Christian Avenue.
When fire crews arrived at the scene, there was heavy smoke that could be seen coming from the roof of the structure.
Hubbard crews were able to get the fire under control with the assistance from numerous other departments.
The fire district's social media site lists fire crews from Brookfield, Coitsville, Fowler, Girard, Liberty, Shenango (Pa.), Vienna and Youngstown for their mutual aid help on the structure fire
Reports indicate there was damage to the interior and attic of the structure.
A section of West Liberty Street from Fifth Avenue to Bentley Street was blocked at Christian Avenue as crews worked at the scene.
Fire officials said the residents who live at the home were there and were able to get out safely along with pets. There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
