WARREN -- A city man told police that after a car crashed into him behind the Elm Road Plaza on Friday night, he tried to follow the vehicle to get a license plate number, but the driver of the other vehicle did a U-turn into the Elm Road Plaza and "swerved into (the victim's) vehicle."
A police officer spoke to the victim of the 10:30 p.m. incident. The victim said he was behind the Elm Road Plaza nearest to Goodwill Industries when the first crash took place. It occurred in Howland Township's jurisdiction, the report states.
The victim said while he was following the other vehicle, its driver, an older male, swerved into his vehicle behind the plaza.
The police report states that the victim's vehicle had "visible damage to the front driver's side." The victim called 911 at the time of the incident, the report states.
The report was captioned aggravated vehicular assault and vehicular assault to describe the type of criminal offenses that may have occurred.
