WARREN -- The Trumbull County Planning Commission has been featured in the June edition of Business in Focus, an international business publication.
Nick Coggins, director of economic development for the planning commission, said the multi-page feature, titled "Steel Roots, New Horizons," showcases the county's economic transformation, industrial heritage and continued commitment to business growth and community development.
Coggins said the article highlights the collaborative work of the planning commission and its many partners to attract investment, strengthen infrastructure, revitalize brownfield sites, expand housing opportunities and support long-term economic development throughout the county.
He said it also recognizes Trumbull County's strong manufacturing base, skilled workforce, business-friendly environment and exceptional quality of life.
"Our goal has always been to make Trumbull County a place where businesses can succeed and families can thrive," Coggins said. "This international recognition reflects the hard work of our staff, local governments, community partners, businesses, and residents who continue working together to move Trumbull County forward."
Among the topics featured are recent economic development successes, including major private investment, infrastructure improvements, tourism growth, housing development, and innovative partnerships that continue to position Trumbull County as a destination for business expansion.
The publication also highlights the planning commission's role in helping businesses navigate development processes and coordinating resources to support new investment.
Coggins said the feature concludes with a message that reflects the planning commission's commitment to future growth: "Trumbull County is open for business."
County Commissioner Tony Bernard said international recognition reflects the dedication of those working every day to strengthen the county.
"This recognition highlights what we have always known -- Trumbull County is a community built on hard work, innovation, and partnership," Bernard said. "The Planning Commission and our economic development team continue to position our county for long-term success, and I am proud to see their efforts recognized on an international stage. We are building on our strong industrial heritage while creating new opportunities for businesses, families, and future generations."
