WARREN — A pedestrian was struck by an automobile and killed at the intersection of Youngstown Road and Kenilworth Avenue on Saturday night.

According to a Warren Police Department news release, the collision involved a Buick sedan traveling westbound on Youngstown Road and a pedestrian walking northbound crossing Youngstown Road near this intersection.

Officers arrived on scene and met with EMT Ambulance personnel immediately thereafter. Upon examination, EMT personnel pronounced the pedestrian dead.

The case remains under investigation.
