WHAT: Commissioners regular meeting Wednesday at the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in Bazetta
PRESENT: Tony Bernard, Rick Hernandez and Denny Malloy
Commissioners:
• Passed a resolution recognizing the 2026 Trumbull County 4-H Youth Club members and adult volunteers.
• Adopted a resolution celebrating the 180th year of the Trumbull County Fair.
• Appointed Attorney Matt Blair to represent Trumbull County in two civil court cases titled Woodford Excavating vs. Trumbull County Commissioners.
• Approved a service agreement with Minutemen EOR LLC, of Cleveland, to provide payroll services for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act Youth/CCMEP grant. The contract is for an initial period of July 1 to June 30, 2028. It can be renewed for two additional years.
• Authorized Tony Bernard to sign the Data Sharing and Confidentiality Agreement, which will permit Trumbull County Workforce Development Area 18 staff to receive and utilize confidential data.
• Passed a resolution recognizing the retirement of Blake Peterson, a building inspector who has worked for the county for more than 24 years.
• Authorized Shelly & Sands, Inc. of North Jackson to begin the Golden Triangle Infrastructure Improvements Contract B-Howland Township Bronze Road Street Improvement project.
