Hartford

WHAT: Township trustees meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Rebecca Whitman, Phil Wilhelm and Melissa Pucak

Trustees:

• Announced the new $450,000 fire pumper truck, which is shared between Brookfield and Hartford, will arrive this month.

• Approved up to $2,000 for new tires for the Ford Explorer police vehicle.

• Hired Aiden Rigsby as a summer maintenance worker.

• Announced summer music on the square will be 6 to 8 p.m. July 18 at the center.

Braceville

WHAT: Township trustees meeting Tuesday

PRESENT: Dennis Kuchta, Jeff Tucker and Todd Garland

Trustees:

• Were informed in a report from Baker, Bednar and Snyder Architects that the work to remodel and repair the gymnasium at the former Braceville High School building off Braceville Robinson Road would cost $4 million.

• Announced the Braceville America250 grand finale celebration will be 2 to 6 p.m. July 26 at the fire and police department buildings.

• Approved proceeding with demolition of property at 1288 Cedar St. because of its condition. Officials said the owner did not fix up the property.

• Notified a property owner at 3652 Warren Ravenna Road to fix zoning violations at the site or the property will be demolished.

• Accepted the resignation of Sarah Waryas as a police officer.

• Approved Kaitlyn Johnson to attend emergency medical technician class at $1,500.

• Are creating a list of properties in the township with abandoned junk vehicles.
