WARREN -- Drivers crossing the Summit Street bridge may have already begun noticing Warren's newest resident, "Mo' Musky," a 100-foot mural painted by Warren artist Aaron Chine.
It overlooks the Mahoning River from the retaining wall at Mahoningside, greeting more than 9,000 motorists each day. The city will unveil the mural at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The mural is made possible through a public-private partnership between Warren, the Fund for Warren's Future, and a grant from the Sherwin-Williams Corporation.
During Gov. Mike DeWine's recent visit to Warren, Mayor Doug Franklin presented him with a framed print of the mural "in appreciation for his longstanding support of the City and the State of Ohio's investment in the many projects that continue to reconnect the community with the Mahoning River."
Chine is expected to arrive by boat on the river before the unveiling. He will sign a limited number of commemorative posters.
