Downtown Youngstown events postponed
YOUNGSTOWN — Two downtown events scheduled for this weekend have been postponed because of expected poor weather conditions.
The America 250 First Fridays, which was to take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday along North Phelps Street and West Federal Street, was postponed because of expected extreme heat. It has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 7.
Also, the Ignite the Night: Youngstown’s America 250 Celebration, which was to begin at 6 p.m. Sunday at the Youngstown Foundation Amphitheatre, has been postponed because of expected thunderstorms. The free community event, which will celebrate the city’s history, culture and future, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 8.
