WHAT: Village council meeting Monday

PRESENT: Jamie Moseley, Jessica Blank, Ron Radtka, Mark McGrail, Lamar Liming and Mayor Jackie Woodward

ABSENT: Robert Bond

Council:

• Heard from police Chief Brent Milhoan, who said the railroad tracks on Industrial Trace are being worked on and trucks and vehicles will be rerouted this week.

• Scheduled a work session for 6 p.m. Monday to discuss plans for the former library building and updates on other village buildings.

• Approved updates for use regulations and subdivision design standards for properties. Planning/ Zoning Administrator Kellie Bordner said in situations where there are single-family dwellings on commercial or industrial properties and if banks, lending institutions or appraisers want to rebuild, they would not be able to do so. Bordner said the changes will allow them to be rebuilt on such properties and when rebuilt they will meet the setback requirements for single-family dwellings.

• Heard from Road Superintendent Martin Nelder the school district is interested in an old dump truck. He said a former zoning office vehicle sold for $1,880.
