WHAT: City Council meeting Wednesday

Council:
• Approved ordinance allowing the mayor and the director of public service and safety to discard municipal personal property, including motor vehicles and road machinery that are no longer needed for any municipal purpose or are obsolete with no value.
• Moved an ordinance regulating mobile food trucks to second reading. Helen Rucker, D-at Large, advised that council members and others can make suggestions on changes to the measure.
• Approved an ordinance appropriating and transferring funds in the general fund and other city funds and declaring an emergency, including $11,400 from administrative services to design services for the Warren West Truck Route Improvement; $55,500 to the police fund to replace and repair damaged surveillance cameras struck by vehicles at West Market Street/Austin Avenue and Tod Avenue/Palmyra Road; $11,400 to capital projects, including $11,400 for design services for Warren West Truck Route improvement; a change order of $43,634.89 for the Packard Park bridge project; and $257,308 from the Appalachian Community Grant Program to connect Bullhead Park and Packard Park to Burbank Park.
• Approved Warren Health Department mosquito control grant funding, including contracted labor at $15,500, auto allowance at $410 and supplies at $3,000.
• Approved an ordinance authorizing the payment of specific orders or contracts upon certification of sufficient funds and declaring an emergency, including: $3,782 for Renewed Outdoor LLC for bulk salt for the operations department; $12,275 for Geosyntec consultants for the Warren Pollution Control Pretreatment Coordination; $33,260 for Youngstown Service Shop for pump motor assembly for the water department; $41,289 for bonded chemicals for the water department; and $58,559 for Usalco, an aluminum polymer, for the water department.
• Approved an ordinance amending the authorized strength ordinance to establish positions of general accountant and special projects accountant within the city’s finance department and declaring an emergency.
